The existing check generation feature in our application allowed for the combination of multiple checks from a single user that may of bought and sold cars at the same auction event — this would relieve the checkout process from needing to print multiple (sometimes many dozens) of individual checks for each user.
However the method only allowed for an “all or nothing” approach without the desired transparency in check line items. To resolve I created requirements and the following wireframe prototype that provides the client the ability to create checks with total flexibility depending on the specific user and makes the individual line items being combined (various fees) apparent to both client/user.
