The app’s core business logic relies on a set of algorithms to intelligently determine the on-call schedules, cover availability, and escalation protocol across physician facilities to provide immediate access to the appropriate resource to triage patients in typical high-volume hospital networks.
Extensive time was dedicated to mapping out user flows and developing stories that met strict HIPAA compliancy for privacy and encryption. Because of the risk potential, there was more detailed documentation created before development kickoff than typical agile workflows.
